Sam Paik

Camp Director

Sam will oversee the overall operation of the camp.

Suji Pyun

Program Director

Suji will direct all day-to-day experiential and learning activities, as well as manage the teachers, counselors, and volunteers.

James Yeon

Operations Manager

James will manage all administrative and operational aspects of the camp, including supplies, transportation, trip coordination, and food.

Dr. Hijoo Son

Program Advisor and Teacher 

Dr. Hijoo Son is a historian, educator, and founder of Son Education, an education consultancy inspired by over 30 years of teaching. She’s currently working on two books—an education memoir co-written with her child, and Bodies in Motion, exploring the lives of Korean diaspora artists. Passionate about nurturing young minds, she has taught at institutions including Phillips Academy, Exeter, and Harvard-Westlake.

Haejin Woo

Curriculum Writer

Haejin is a US certified teacher with expertise in ESL, Korean language instruction, and curriculum design. She collaborates with the leadership team to reflect their camp content ideas and goals into lesson plans to support teachers and counselors in guiding campers.

Ruth Kim

Social Media

Ruth brings extensive experience in connecting people of Korean heritage with engaging Korean content through social media. She is focused on helping build a strong and vibrant online community of MoMo Camp families and supporters.

Jihee Kim

Senior Counselor

Senior Business Administration major at Sungshin Women’s University with international experience living in Tokyo (2004–2011). I volunteered as an elementary school tutor and language exchange partner. Currently I serve as a cultural tour guide and a historical interpreter so look forward to making Korean history fun! 

Semin Park

Senior Counselor

Senior majoring in International Business Administration at Dankook University, with additional studies in Financial Management and Innovation in Germany. I am passionate about cultural exchange, and creative collaboration and am excited to contribute to MoMo Camp by sharing my knowledge of Korean culture with the campers.

Soei Woo

Counselor

Rising sophomore at Colby College double-majoring in Economics (with a concentration in Financial Markets) and Philosophy. I have lived in New York, Singapore, and Seoul, experiences that have shaped my global perspective and intellectual curiosity. I am excited to share my love of art and music with campers at MoMo!

David Yun

Counselor

Rising sophomore at Yale University majoring in Global Affairs, originally from Fort Worth, Texas. Passionate about soccer, wheel throwing, and community service. Excited to be part of MoMo Camp and help inspire cultural awareness and pride in our campers—grateful for this incredible opportunity!

Cheily Lee

Junior Counselor

Rising high school senior from Seoul, South Korea with a love for basketball, volleyball, and exploring new places. Excited to join MoMo Camp this summer to share culture, learn from others’ stories, and be part of a community where we grow and connect together.

Danielle Choi

Junior Counselor

Rising sophomore at Seoul Foreign School, where I've lived for the past eight years. I enjoy volleyball, working out, and helping others—and I’d say I’m pretty outgoing and friendly! I'm grateful for the chance to volunteer at MoMo Camp and look forward to creating a fun, relaxing experience while sharing a bit of Seoul with you.
